The Parish Council is an entity within the Parish Organization, whose purpose is to assist the pastor in the planning function of the parish. It consists of 7 to 10 parishioners. They are appointed by the pastor and serve various terms of office. The Finance Council advises the Pastor on the financial affairs of the parish. At St. Irene Parish, the Finance Council meets at least twice per year to set the operating and capital budget, review the actual results compared to budget, and recommend fundraising activities. Building Use & Maintenance Committee This committee manages the physical plant for the parish. It is comprised of individuals from each of the various groups within the parish. The committee helps to set policy for the rental and use of the parish hall for parishioners and various community groups. This committee is also charged with overseeing the maintenance and cleaning of the church and parish hall, as well as the grounds and rectory. |
