Holy Orders

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church. It is the sacrament of apostolic ministry.

The mission of the Church is to introduce people to Jesus. The Ordained, the Bishops, Priests and Deacons, all carry the responsibility to lead and direct the Church in its mission.

If you are interested in learning more about the sacrament of Holy Orders, or life as a priest or deacon, contact one of the priests at St Irene's, or explore the Archdiocese of Boston's website on Holy Orders.
