Jane Doe is the Massachusetts Coalition against sexual assault and domestic violence. It provides information on how to find help for women, children, teens, the elderly, people with disabilities, as well as victims and survivors of many types of abuse.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The website has a “LEAVE THIS SITE QUICKLY” link at the top of each page in case you need to quickly clear your computer screen, transferring you to a google news page. Note, however, that some browsers will maintain an active “back” button that will bring you back to the Jane Doe site. If necessary, for your protection, learn how to clear your browser’s history. If possible, use a free computer at your public library or a community center, or a trusted friend’s house.
Several of the resources listed at the Jane Doe site provide free, confidential services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You do not have to be in a crisis to call. Someone will always be there to listen. Jane Doe provides references – it does not provide any crisis or direct services.
